The short version. Hewn has not launched. The only thing this site does is take an email address for the waiting list. Nothing is stored in your browser and no analytics runs unless you press Allow on the bar at the bottom — and you can verify that by opening your browser's developer tools. We will email you once, when Hewn launches, and again if there is something you need to do to claim the founding-member rate. You can have your address deleted at any time by emailing hewnfinancial@gohewn.com.
Hewn is a product of DATABURG FL LLC, a company registered in Florida, United States. DATABURG FL LLC decides how the information described here is handled, and is responsible for it. Our contact details are at the bottom of this page.
When you submit the form on the home page, five things are recorded:
The last two exist so we can tell where interest in Hewn is coming from and which countries to launch in. They are not used to build a profile of you, and they are not combined with anything from anywhere else.
Up to four things, depending on what you have allowed.
Google Fonts. This page uses two typefaces served by
Google. Your browser fetches them from fonts.googleapis.com and
fonts.gstatic.com, which means Google receives your IP address
and basic request information in order to send the font files back. This
happens on page load, before you interact with anything. Google's handling of
that request is governed by
Google's privacy
policy.
Google Analytics — only if you allowed it. If you pressed Allow, this page loads Google Analytics, which tells us how many people visited, roughly where from, and which pages they read. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google your IP address, which we ask it to anonymise. We use it to judge whether the site is reaching anyone, not to identify you, and we have turned off the advertising features. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the choice back. Google's handling is governed by Google's privacy policy.
Cloudflare Web Analytics. Our host also counts page views without cookies and without tracking anyone between sites. It records the page, the referring site, rough location and how fast the page loaded. There is nothing in it that identifies you, which is why it runs without asking.
Cloudflare Turnstile. The signup form is protected by a
bot check loaded from challenges.cloudflare.com. It exists
because the form writes to a store with a daily limit, and without it one
script could fill that limit and stop real people signing up. It looks at
signals from your browser to decide whether you are a person; it does not set
a cookie here, does not track you across other sites, and is not used for
advertising. Cloudflare processes it on our instructions.
On Cloudflare's infrastructure, in a storage product called Workers KV, which is replicated across Cloudflare's network. Cloudflare processes the data on our instructions and does not use it for its own purposes. We do not sell your address, rent it, trade it, or share it with advertisers, data brokers or any other company.
Until Hewn launches and you have had the chance to claim the founding-member rate, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. If Hewn does not launch, we will delete the list rather than keep it.

Depending on where you live — for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or a US state with its own privacy law such as California — you may have these rights by statute as well. We apply them to everyone regardless, because the list is short enough that there is no reason not to. If you are in the EEA or the UK, our legal basis for holding your address is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by asking us to delete it.
Hewn is intended for people aged 18 and over, and the waiting list is not directed at children. If you believe a child has submitted an address, email us and we will remove it.
If we change what we collect or what we do with it, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and you are already on the list, we will email you rather than rely on you noticing.
